These are my latest pair of earrings, Love them! I made a pair for my sister and thought they were so cute so I made another pair to sell!!

New camera!!

So if you read my other blog post you see that I broke my camera, well being that I make jewelry, I NEED a camera to take photos of my work and post online so having a camera is CRUCIAL.I have been struggling without my cam cus I am dying to take photos.I went on ebay this morning and saw a brand new Kodak EasyShare 8.2 megapixel listed for like 50.00 so I watched it like a HAWK...and sure enough, 12 minutes into the acution I placed the highest bid and BAM! I got it!!!!! for only 72.00, not bad for a brand new camera....can't wait for it to get here..I'm so geeked. I love finding bargains or deals, I am the "ebay queen"..I am so addicted.

Anyhow, I'm at work and yawning, gotta go! pictures coming soon.

Advertising and Promoting your Business

This is a tough one, The toughest Part thus far...I am struggling already but I am one every site you can imagine. Promoting and advertising is something you have to be pateint with, people won't bite at first, because they don't know who you are, and unsure about you work. People are more likely to buy something from an advertisement they see in a magazine (even if they've never heard of the company) SIMPLY because its on an ad in a magazine! but when you're trying to start an online business people will suspect fraud,scams and anything else.

Thats 7 SITES!! Still not as much traffic as I would like. Its not that people don't like my stuff, its that they're not seeing it! How do I get people to look at my stuff? I 'm not sure yet..PROMOTING, PROMOTING, PROMOTING!!!

Broke My camera :(

Yesterday I stepped on my camera and BROKE IT! why was it on the floor?DON'T ASK! but its HISTORY now! I'm so sad. I wanted a new one that was atleast 8 mp but this is not how I planned on getting it. My old one was a polariod i634 6mp and It pretty much sucked unless you took pics where you had good lighting, I've actually got some really nice photos out of it when capturing objects but when taking shots of myself, it was bad. Flash was way too much.



I'm looking for suggestions on a new camera, not too expensive, something that takes great photos, flash not so horrible.Polarioid's suck anyways but it was a gift....so let's try to go for another brand! all feedback TRULY appreciated!

Twittering around....

Twittering has become a BIG thing now.....its hilarious because a few days ago I started a twitter accoiunt and just started following random people, and those random people followed me back, not quite all of them but most! and even people I didn't follow were following me, I felt special :).

So yeah, for those of you who DON'T KNOW. Twitter is the lastest social network that everyone thrives on. Status updates of no more than 140 Characters, about ANYTHING you feel like saying at that moment, no matter how irrelevant or random it is!! sounds like fun huh? Kinda....if you are friend with your followers you can reply to theri status' but when you don't know people, its awkward and kinda boring, everyone is so busy trying to promote themselves, mis-use of the darn thing!

I often find myself at work twittering (on the midnight shift) bored as ever, trying to keep my self awake.

My jewelry Business!!!

So a year ago me and my sister were thinking of a business plan, I was stuck on jewelry because I absolutely must have jewelry on me at all times! I own so much jewelry and when I think about it....I can make my own!!! and make it for other people and earn an income while doing it.

I came up with the name Pink Velvet because I thought both words described something that was delicate and feminine, just like women! My original plan was to make Earrings, Bracelets, Necklaces, Keychains and cellphone charms but so far I have only gotten to the earrings...but I'm not done yet.....I probably should've been more organized but I was so axious to get started that I never got around to making the other accessories, and before you knew it...I had a site www.pinkvelvet.webs.com. I feel like, you can't rush creativity, When the time comes, I will have more items listed but for now all I have is drop earrings, beautiful ones at that!

My goal is not to become rich and famous but to have people admire my work and want to wear and buy it.My products are not as extravagant as some thing I have seen on Esty and Artfire and thats ok, because my items are exactly what I want them to be. Simple, Chic and adorable.
